Execution

Making Your First Trade

Ready to take a position? This guide covers how to execute trades using the Kiyotaka execution interface.

  1. 1

    Access the Interface

To begin, locate the execution panel:

    1. Navigate to the market page you wish to trade on.
    2. Click on the Execution Tab located at the top right of the navigation bar.
    3. This will slide open the trading interface, allowing you to view the order book and input your trade details.
  2. 2

    Configure Your Order

    Enter Amount

In the input field, enter the amount in USD ($) you wish to trade.

    • Shares Calculation: As you type the dollar amount, the interface will automatically calculate and display the number of shares you can purchase.
    • Potential Payout: You will also see the potential payout (e.g., if the outcome resolves in your favor, shares redeem at $1.00).

Choose Your Side: YES vs NO

Prediction markets operate on binary outcomes.

    • Buy YES: You profit if the event happens (resolves to "Yes").
    • Buy NO: You profit if the event does not happen (resolves to "No").
  3. 3

    Select Order Type

You can choose between two methods of execution:

    Limit Order

Set a specific price at which you are willing to buy. Your order will only fill if the market reaches your specified price (or better). This gives you price certainty but no guarantee of execution.

    Market Order

Buy immediately at the best available price on the order book.

    • Average Price: The interface will show an estimated average price based on the current order book liquidity.
  4. 4

    Confirm & Monitor

Once you click Buy, the order is routed to the exchange.

    Tracking Your Position

Upon successful execution, your new trade will immediately appear in the Positions Panel (usually located below the chart or in the side dashboard). You can track:

    • Size: The total number of shares you own.
    • Avg Price: The weighted average price you paid per share.
    • Unrealized PNL: Your current profit or loss based on the market's latest mid-price.
